Cleaning Flip Flops
Eventually you'll need to clean yours. They easily get sweat stains, dirt, grim and other junk on them.
Here are some helpful tips on cleaning your flip-flops:
A warning, some methods might not be suitable for certain materials.
1. Put them into a pillow case and tie the end with a string or the pillow case itself. Put them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and let them air/sun dry.
2. You could use just plain old soap and water with a rag or paper towels. Then let them air/sun dry.
3. Some have used Oxy Clean for their flip-flops.
4. A spray like 409 has been used. They sprayed them and scrubbed it with a brush.
5. This one sounds kind of weird but putting them on the top shelf of your dishwasher and running it only on the wash cycle. The dry cycle could damage or melt your flip-flops.
6. Tossing them in the shower with you is another method. Put a little shampoo on them and scrubbing with your hand. Let air dry.
